Your business can sponsor an underprivileged school with branded educational resources.
Your company logo (and/or QR code) will appear on these high-quality, uniquely South African resources, getting your brand out there whilst helping to address the literacy crisis in South Africa in a practical way, getting appealing charts into classrooms and durable, write and wipe booklets into the hands of learners.
With 16+ years experience as a foundation
phase teacher, Sarah Whitaker, alongside her
sister Kate Watkin, who has been in sales and
marketing since 2003, decided to create a
business aimed at addressing the pressing
issue of illiteracy among South African children and adults.
They co-founded Stellar Stars, where they developed reusable, durable, and practical resources to improve literacy in English, isiZulu, isiXhosa, and Afrikaans.
Sarah, a renowned artist, designed all the educational resources from scratch.
Sarah and Kate's mother, Sue Watkin, a well-regarded educator, also contributed significantly to the initiative. Sue has 48 years experience in primary and adult education, was a 3 Merit teacher, served for 9 years on the KZN Education Department's English First Language committee, and was Head of Department for a decade.
Sarah brought her two oldest daughters, Hannah and Emily, onboard and they are now running this project.

An accompanying educator guide explains this. The durable write and wipe booklets are a valuable learners’ resource for reading and writing.
The school logo can be printed on all resources.
